Tienko

The Tienko project is a 343 km2 exploration license located in NW Côte d'Ivoire. Goldrange acquired the right to earn 100% interest (excluding 10% Government Free carry) in July 2021. This highly prospective project lies within the Birimian Bougouni Greenstone Terrane comprising a series of volcano-sedimentary sequences separated by shear zones and granitic intrusions. A large part of this terrane is located in Mali and Guinea where it is host to the Siguiri (7M ozs.), Yanfolia (1.8M ozs.), Morila (6M ozs.) and Syama (5M ozs.) Mines. Several advanced projects in southern Mali including Tabakorole (1M ozs.), Kalana (2M ozs.) and Kodieran (2M ozs.) occur in the same volcano-sedimentary trend that hosts Tienko.

The Tienko license hosts a series of mineralized zones (F1, 2 and 3, Nabagala and Kehi) that were identified in the early 2000’s by regional stream sediment and soil sampling. The program was disrupted for a number of years due to civil unrest in the country. From 2010 to 2015 several campaigns of follow-up detailed soil sampling, trenching and RAB, Aircore, RC and limited diamond drilling further defined the mineralised corridors. Previous results as well as ongoing exploration indicate a significant endowment of free dig gold in the oxide zone at Tienko which bodes well for economic extraction and processing. Samples collected from artisanal workings in September 2021 from artisanal workings on the licence have been submitted for gold deportment studies. An NI43-101 technical report on the Tienko project was completed in October 2021.

Goldrange commenced a 6,000 meter RC drilling program at Tienko in December 2021, which was completed in February 2022. The drilling confirmed the majority of the legacy results. However, two of the twin holes exposed a problem associated with some of the historical RC drilling. This lead to a review of the RC weights of all the data so as to identify which holes need to be excluded from future resource evaluation.

The results received from the latest RC drill campaign were most encouraging, in particular F1 where additional gold mineralisation has been confirmed.
